Expats in Canada will be gathering in cities across the country on Tuesday night to watch the highly anticipated results of the U.S. presidential election.
Democrats Abroad, the overseas wing of the Democratic Party, will be hosting election night parties in 11 cities from Victoria to Atlantic Canada. Republicans Overseas in Canada isn’t hosting such parties and is leaving the organization of a Toronto election night event to someone else, the chairman told me last week. But he has yet to provide location details.
I’ll be reporting from the Democrats Abroad event at the Marche in downtown Toronto for Yahoo Canada News, and should be there until the wee hours.
For a recap of how crucial the expat vote can be in this tight Clinton-Trump race , read my piece here.
